"What boundaries to cross, What chances for the taking..."

Just to make this year's 365 more challenging, I've decided to pick a band a month & a lyric a day to go with the photos I take. When better than the year's first day to display such optimism...?
The first band of the year & an enduring favourite is The Damned. Their inherent contradictions (not least in personnel & expression) appeal to me. At times dramatic & dark, at others, lively & humorous, they're musically & visually engaging.
Plus they're loud & ideal for pogoing to.
Punk without the gobfest, goth without the gorefest, metal, psychedelia, satire & politics thrown in - what more could you want?
