"This is a message to the sky..."

"Hey Jesus, won't you come on down?"

(From Living With the Human Machines)

Well, I'm only sorry there were so many more Strangelove lyrics I wasn't able to crowbar in this month.
For instance "The man in the moon's got it in for me." (Sixer)
Marvellous.

"We're going to make it to the moon...but I don't want go there..."

"...But I don't want to stay...
But I really don't think I can go..."

Back in the day, Strangelove were accused of being "miserablists" in unimaginative & frankly miserable quarters.
This accusation never took into account the sneering intelligence & often hilarious delivery of their words, nor the affecting accomplishment of their music.
Strangelove was in fact, a wonderful thing - rich in stories, observations, darkness, obsession, comedy.
For every ten snarling tales they told of addiction, violence, paranoia & breakdown, they told a gentle other of spirit, nature, dreams & compassion.
Wise, clever, well-versed in The Way of Things & sadly gone, February's men are Strangelove.
